CMS Landscape Library

A subset of CMS sections, geared to electrical engineering subjects.
$1,174.00

Key Features:
• A master specification library, oriented to medium sized and larger construction projects.
• The CMS - Landscape and Site Civil library contains approximately 120+ sections, consisting of “front end” documents, and sections from Divisions 1, parts of 2 thru 6, and parts of 10 thru 16.
• CMS was first introduced in 1977 making it Canada's first master specification library, preceding the NMS package by more than a year.
• Section content varies from new construction, to aspects of renovation projects, to project acceptance, take-over, and commissioning.
• CMS offers bid and contract documents and master specification sections, supporting CCDC standard forms in most instances, adding others where there may be voids.
• CMS thoroughly encompasses specification subjects of varying complexity from “product” sections, to “function/performance” focussed sections, to “location” specific sections all in one library.
• CMS is written in prescriptive, proprietary, and performance terms; most sections permit a specifier to select any one method, appropriate to project requirements.

Quality Assurance Features
• Digicon’s master specification libraries undergo a number of “quality” checks to ensure glitch-free and problem-free editing by specifiers.
• Our electronic documents are “sanitized” to ensure unwanted software codes are removed, that all text statements conform to our highest grammar standards, and that documents are ready for use.

Advantages of Canadian Master Specification (CMS)
• CMS can easily be integrated with other Digicon libraries such as MiniSPEC, OutlineSPEC, MasterPP, and RenoSPEC on the same project. This offers a dynamic and natural approach to decision making and the development of specifications.
• CMS can be used on most any private sector project. CMS has been used and accepted on federal, provincial, and territorial government projects - when written in a non-proprietary context.
• Editing of CMS is made much easier and quicker using Digicon’s SpecMacros© macro utilities.
